DIY Homemade Hot Wire Foam Cutter.
Hi friends, Here you will learn how to make a battery powered hot wire Foam Cutter in your home. It is very easy to make anyone can do it easily. So now I’ll show you how to make this hot wire foam cutter inexpensive using our home items. With the help of this hot wire foam cutter, you will be able to cut the thermocol sheets better faster and more gentle. You need to make this hot wire foam cutter:
- 9V Battery
- 9V Battery connector
- On/Off switch
- Ice Cream Sticks
- 32 AWG Nichrome wire
- Fevikwik (Superglue)
- Electrical tape
Steps To Make The Hot Wire Foam Cutter:
Step 1: First take an ice cream stick and cut it to one side as shown below.
Step 2: Paste the first cut off ice cream stick in between the positive and negative terminals of the 9v battery as shown below.
Step 3: Now take another ice cream stick and paste it on the bottom of the 9v battery as shown below.
Step 4: Connect the 9v battery connector to the terminals of the 9v battery as shown below.
Step 5: Paste a wire of 9v battery connector to the end part of the ice cream stick with the insulation tape as shown below.
Step 6: Take an on/off switch then using glue paste it to one side of the battery as shown below.
Step 7: Take a small piece of wire and Solder one end of it to the pin of on / off switch, then paste the other end with the insulation tape on the end of the second ice cream stick as shown below.
Step 8: solder second wire of the 9v battery connector to the second pin of the on / off switch as shown below.
Step 9: Take the 32 AWG Nichrome Wire a small piece and tie it to the end of the two ice cream sticks as shown below. (You can find Soldering Iron or Iron Box for this Nichrome Wire)
